Busy machine operator position available for a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to work in a large production facility in the textile industry

Our client, a major textile manufacturing company is seeking a Machine Operator, a Material Handler and a Tufter to be based in their South Auckland production facility to work the Twilight Shift: 3.00pm – 11.00pm, Monday to Friday.
You must be a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply for this permanent role.
The main objective of the Drier Machine Operator role is to assist in the flow of production by ensuring top quality standards are met during the operation of the Drier Machine. You will be part of a fast paced team ensuring the process of mixing & blending glue in preparation for the secondary backing on the carpet, along with the continuous operation of machinery and transporting of completed carpet runs to the next stage.
As a Material Handler you will be responsible for handling raw materials in various production areas, removing excess or waste material, motorised trolley work and assisting with machine set ups. A fork lift license would be desirable, but not essential.
As a Tufter you will be trained on the large industrial sewing machines to mend and inspect the carpet to a high quality. The preferred applicant would have good attention to detail, the ability to work with nimble fingers and also be fit and agile for this role. There is also one graveyard shift role available for a Tufter
As a Machine Operator (Beamer) in their Beaming area you will be responsible for loading yarns onto the reels of textile machines, performing set ups according to production instructions, working out the correct quantity of yarn needed and checking for defects and knots, then recording the status. A fork lift licence would be desirable, but not essential for this role.
These positions require the candidates to be physically fit as some heavy lifting may be involved and you must have an enthusiastic attitude and enjoy being on the go!
Training will be provided although a good understanding in Maths and English skills is essential. You will be required to pick up new concepts quickly, be able to follow instructions well and be committed to learning the procedures / practices of the carpet industry.
A basic weekly wage will be offered plus extra shift allowances.
