Overview of the role:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be responsible for managing the Sales Team and contributing strategically to growing existing accounts and new business development, customer management, customer materials liability, stock management with a view to improve business processes maximising efficiency and profitability.

This is a pivotal position in this highly successful, respected and iconic organisation, where as part of the Senior Management Team you will play a focal part in the company’s continued success by facilitating the achievement of all business goals and targets while always remaining focussed on future growth.

Key Responsibilities include:

Sales Management:

  • Managing teams of Account Managers, Product Development Specialist and Customer Service Representatives.
  • Develop and report on Key Performance Indicators and look to enhance performance whilst mentoring and supporting employees as required.
  • Implement GP initiatives, Sales Budgets and Strategic Sales Plans to achieve sales targets and retain competitive edge.
  • Developing and implementing enhanced customer management processes.
  • Devise and implement Business Plans to incorporate growth through new major clients.
  • Conduct competitor and customer analysis.
  • Understand and report on market trends to accurately forecast future sales
  • Manage and continually refine long term business goals and strategies.
  • Ensure the company is well represented at Conferences, Trade Fairs & Networking events.
  • Manage and monitor areas of improvement around efficiency of communication and collaboration across Internal Teams/Departments.

Commercial/Operational management focus to include:

  • Develop and manage Standard Operating Processes.
  • Oversee and/or develop programs/models that evaluate and improve upon the company’s customer materials liability strategy.
  • Assist management to formulate Strategic Plans in relation to Customer Materials Liability & Stock Management, whilst consulting with the Production & Purchasing Managers.
  • Assist the implementation of new strategies and policies in the product manufacturing and development process.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
