This Office Based Account Manager position partners with customers and ensures their long-term success. The role is focused on managing a portfolio of assigned & prospective new customers, with whom they will actively meet budget, seek new opportunities, follow-up lost business & ensure the business is pricing for value. The role focuses on the Industrial sector on coatings & raw materials.

About the role

  • Work towards agreed financial targets including volume, gross margin and revenue metrics.
  • Use various business reports, tools and systems to analyse and manage the business effectively
  • Establish and maintain multi-level relationships at all customers & ensure regular contact
  • Undertake regular MTD/YTD customer sales analysis ensuring win-win outcomes
  • Collaborating with various other teams around the business and attending key meetings
  • Accurate tracking and recording

We are seeking

  • Previous experience in delivering client focused solutions to customer needs – e.g., customer service role with product knowledge OR an outstanding Graduate of Science/Chemical or Business/Commerce fields.
  • Computer savvy with ERP experience – preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel etc.
  • A ‘people person’ with a passion for delivering the absolute best level of customer service
  • Be confident in picking up the phone and calling present and/or potential customers to brief them on the services your company can offer them and where appropriate make an appointment for a Sales/Account Manager to visit.
  • Be an adapt problem solver with the ability to listen well to specific requirements and by asking the ‘right’ questions you will have a deep understanding on what service you need to provide.
