Introduction

Our client is a highly successful, instantly recognised organisation who are industry leaders in Australasia, well respected for their expertise and premium quality, high performance marine paint/coatings where they market their products nationally through their Distributor Networks.

Due to exponential growth this is a rare and outstanding opportunity to join an organisation well known for their iconic brands and premium products and commitment to the market in relation to innovation.

Key to your success will lie in your ability to effectively manage the Auckland/Northland territory, where you will build superb relationships with Distributors, and also to a lesser extent End Users.  The company also focus on implementing regular campaigns across their Distributor Network where you will manage social events e.g. with Boating/Yacht Club Events etc.

We are currently seeking a highly driven and results focused Industrial Salesperson, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical/industrial sales role, ideally from the paint/coatings sector, or perhaps you are from an aligned sector where you have needed to assimilate new technical/chemical product knowledge and this has complemented your great relationship building/sales skills.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  •  Proven skills as a highly driven, results focused Sales Achiever who is ‘top of their game’ in the paint/industrial/chemical/coatings sector.
  •  Impressive and enviable communication/interpersonal skills with outstanding relationship building/relationship management skills with the ability to add value to your Distributor’s business and build great relationships across all levels
  • To assist the Australasian based Sales Manager in the establishment of annual and medium-term plans for the sales functions of the company.
  • To provide effective input into planning and determining the product lines and brand names, product development and packaging.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in sales analysis, sales by product etc.
  • Have championed customer service skills with team orientation
  • Superb planning, scheduling and strong organisational skills
  • Proactive – ability to negotiate win/win outcomes managing margins/profit
  • Innovative with creative flair
