Our client is a leading healthcare provider in New Zealand consisting of doctors, nurses and business support throughout NZ as well as supporting clinics overseas. They are proud of what they achieve, and it is a very rewarding company to be a part of. At this time, they are looking for a Quality and Risk Manager to join their team in Auckland (though as there are clinics throughout NZ they are open to the position being based in any of the other clinics).

The Quality and Risk Manager will provide leadership and advice in all aspects of Quality and Risk for all projects, processes, analysis as well as reporting. The primary function of this role is to reduce risk to the organisation its patients and staff utilising a robust QMS. With no direct reports there are staff at each clinic who undertake the majority of the internal auditing which is then overseen /addressed / reviewed by the Quality Manager.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Training, education and engagement of staff in all aspects of Quality and Risk
  • Measuring, Analysing and reporting on quality and risk
  • Maintaining compliance / certifications
  • Document control, review, create
  • Management of the internal / external auditing process and responses
  • Review processes, investigate incidents, raise / implement improvements in relation to quality and Risk

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Science / health or similar
  • Minimum 3 years Quality / Risk Management experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in certifications / regulatory / compliance eg ISO, GMP, Health and Disability or other
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft office – in particular Excel
  • Strong relationship skills with the ability to communicate and relate effectively with a diverse group of people
