Production Supervisor (Ref 01/1712/JK)

Introduction

Our client is a leader in the chemical industry here and in the international market. They are looking for a Factory Supervisor to join the team ideally with previous chemical experience. You will report to the Factory Manager and supervise a team of 5 – 6 people. This is a hands on role and while a good part of the role includes production planning you will also lead your team from alongside them within the factory environment

Requirements

Responsibilities include:

• Production planning / scheduling, including allocation of factory resources and maintenance of equipment
• Provide direction, training and mentoring / supervision to the team and to contract personnel
• Ensure Health and Safety in the workplace
• Produce and Supply chemical products as per customer demand

To be considered for this role you will:

• Have previous manufacturing experience ideally from the chemical industry
• Have excellent computer skills as well as experience using SAP
• Hold a current Fork Hoist License (Reach would be bonus)
• Be flexible and reliable with the ability to work well with Senior Management

This role requires the successful candidate to work collaboratively across all functions and therefore you will have excellent communication skills. You will have a positive attitude with the ability to get the best out of a team.
